Zhane S.: Making an Impact Every Mile

With nearly 14 years behind the wheel, Zhane S. has made seeing the country his life’s work and his passion. He has been with Hogan since January 2024, and his work ethic, knowledge, and great attitude have quickly made him a standout driver and trainer. Managers note that he has become an integral part of the STL training program, teaming up with an experienced trainer to help develop the next generation of haulers.

Earlier this year, when a Yard Trainer position opened in STL, Zhane moved from Florida to Missouri to be closer to family while stepping into the role with ease. He values being part of a company that treats drivers like more than just numbers.

Zhane started truck driving to be able to see the country. He has been to the lower 48 states, border to border, and ocean to ocean. Travel is a passion of his—he has been on multiple cruises that have taken him all over the Caribbean and as far east as Europe. While in Europe, he and his dad rented a car and drove through Spain, France, Switzerland, and Italy before taking a cruise back to Florida. Some of the places he hopes to see one day include Seoul, Singapore, Victoria HK, and Tokyo. When he’s not on the road, Zhane enjoys music festivals and discovering new cultures.

Zhane values family, friends, and a life full of experiences. What he loves about trucking is the freedom to explore while being part of a team that feels like family.

Ali C.: Driven by Purpose, Leading with Excellence

Hogan proudly recognizes Ali C., a dedicated driver from our Galesburg, MI location for seven years and a professional truck driver for nearly nine. Known for his dependability, intelligence, and positive mindset, Ali consistently demonstrates care and professionalism in every task.

Ali is a purpose-driven driver who focuses on what truly matters. He values continual learning, works efficiently and safely, and avoids distractions that don’t add value. Management often relies on him to go above and beyond—for example, he once accepted a 2:00 a.m. live load on a day off to ensure timely delivery without compromising safety. He also routinely steps in when needed, showing reliability, responsibility, and a positive attitude.

Recently, Ali became a driver trainer, mentoring new drivers with patience and a strong focus on safety. He has mastered the Smith System, applying it in his own driving and teaching it to others, including his wife.

One of Ali’s managers sums it up best: “I have been with Hogan as long as Ali has, and I can honestly say he is our #1 driver. He is respectful, courteous, caring, and driven.”

Ali appreciates the people he meets through driving and the supportive culture at Hogan, where he feels valued beyond his role. Outside of work, he enjoys providing for his family, living in faith, and staying active through walking, running, cycling, and calisthenics. He also enjoys comedy, audiobooks, podcasts, music, and reading books like The Kybalion and Outwitting the Devil. Travel inspires him as well—he has visited all 48 contiguous states and dreams of exploring London’s British Museum.

Guided by gratitude, Ali focuses on life’s small blessings, from health and family to the ability to provide for his needs. His dedication, professionalism, and positive influence leave a lasting impression on everyone he works with, setting a high standard for the Hogan team.
